Lakewood is Denver's largest suburb — a diverse city directly west of Denver with significant federal government employment (Denver Federal Center), St. Anthony Hospital, and a growing population of residents who have moved from Denver seeking more affordable housing. Federal employees whose jobs require background checks, working-class families building toward homeownership, and residents navigating the western Denver metro's rapidly rising prices all face credit challenges where inaccurate reporting can mean the difference between accessing the market and being locked out.
Statistics are provided for general informational context. Individual credit profiles vary. No outcomes are guaranteed.
We analyze your credit report for potential FCRA inaccuracies — wrong account statuses, reporting period violations, SOL compliance, SCRA gaps, and duplicate entries.
We prepare documentation and submit disputes to credit bureaus and creditors on your behalf — targeting every potentially inaccurate item on your file.
We track bureau responses, escalate when needed, and keep you updated until your file reflects only accurate, verifiable information. No specific outcomes are guaranteed.
“I work at the Denver Federal Center and a credit issue was flagging in my background review. White Jacobs reviewed my file, found a misreported account from a prior lease, disputed it, and had it corrected. My review came through clean.”
“I moved from Denver to Lakewood for the lower prices but still needed a mortgage. A medical bill from St. Anthony Hospital was sitting in collections. White Jacobs confirmed the FCRA notice was missing and disputed it. Removed. I qualified for my Lakewood FHA loan.”
“I relocated from out of state to Lakewood and had two accounts from my prior state still showing as open. White Jacobs found both errors in the first review and had them corrected in under 45 days. My mortgage went through without further issues.”

Colorado has a 3-year statute of limitations on most contract debts — one of the shortest in the nation. After 3 years from first default, a time-barred defense may be available in Colorado courts. The debt can still report on your credit file for up to 7 years under the FCRA. Do not make payments on old debts without understanding how that may restart the SOL clock.
Federal law (15 U.S.C. §1681c) limits most negative items to 7 years from the date of first delinquency. Accounts past this period may be disputable as reporting period violations. The SOL and FCRA reporting period are separate clocks — a debt can be time-barred for lawsuits and past the reporting window simultaneously.
Colorado is home to five major military installations. The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) requires creditors to cap interest rates at 6% during active duty and provides other credit protections. If SCRA protections were not applied and a negative item resulted, it may be disputable. White Jacobs reviews military credit files for both FCRA inaccuracies and SCRA compliance gaps.
